Long Overdue post- Happy Holidays!

This holiday season was the perfect end to a crazy, surprising, difficult, beautiful year. It's great to be back home, comfortable and cozy, with people I love so so much and haven't gotten to see in months. It's really freakin cold, but even the weather is just as it should be. I've been thinking about how ridiculously lucky I am

My family is the best. I couldn't ask for a more supportive, loving base. Before I left for Argentina, my aunt and uncle (and cousins) gave me a card with a wonderful personal note inside, and I've had it with me every day ever since. On hard days, when I do something stupid, I look at the card and remember that no matter what happens, I have people. My parents and grandparents have made travel and school possible. Right now I'm taking a (much needed) break from school, but I'm lucky enough to get to visit lots of interesting places.

The Philly cousins came to visit! We haven't seen them in sooo long, it was great! Here is our fam portrait.

I am so proud of my friends. We've all split off in different directions, and everyone is following their dreams. These aren't always the easiest roads, but they have what it takes. I love you all and I'm in awe of your courage, intelligence, and grace. Here's to a happy and HEALTHY 2009!

Speaking of courage, and Grace (lolz), Little Sister is about to leave for her semester abroad in Scotland. I know it's going to be amazing (and I'm totally jealous)! She's destined for great things, and this is the next step. She also now has a blog that everyone should check out: http://unnecessary-things.blogspot.com.

The best Christmas present I got this year is a trip to ASIA for three weeks! I am unbelievably excited for this adventure. I know I can't travel forever, but it's all I want to do right now. I like to think that every time I go somewhere new, I gain a new appreciation for humanity (and for how unbelievably blessed I am).

This was a horrendously sappy post. Deal with it. Felices fiestas y se amo a todos!

Just so you know, I plan to read your sister's blog and comment on it more than I comment here.
